Day

Day 157:Rammingstein - Outside Salzburg(110km) - Distance travelled so far 9,497km "Just one more day till rest day"

Today started slow. We packed up our tents very quickly, and without any breakfast, we got on our bikes and hit the road. The town of Tamsweg was only a few kilometers down the road. We stopped ehere for some food for the day and a small bit to eat.

We definately overstayed our time in Tamsweg. Staying for more than2 hours, we just weren't in the mood to get back on the road.

Finally, it was agreed that we'd have to bite the bullet, so we hopped back on the bikes and kept peddeling.

More mountains in the distance

And up we go again

We cliimbed for most of the day. The temperatures dropped as the altitude only got higher. Aftern a couple of hours climbing we reached the top. The ski resort town of Obertauren.

Nice and flat

We were only 11kms from the famous ski resort, St. Johann

Spectacular scenery

The picture above is of the river that we will be folllowing the whole way down to Salzburg

The hills are behind us now. Thank God

We could have reached Salzburg today, but it would have been late so we decided to camp in a woods, 20kms outside the city.

Sarah was a great host, taking us out and showing us what her city had to offer.

The day we arrived she took us to the local funfair, where we went on the best ride of our lives......
